So it’s off to Almondvale or as it’s been rebranded ‘The Tony Macaroni Arena.’ this evening.
Beautiful.
The West Lothian stadium is, of course, the location of our first domestic loss this season which is one of only two we’ve suffered on league duty.
Back in October, we had one of those days where everything went wrong.
We were already struggling before Ryan Christie had a rush of blood to the head and got himself sent off after only 25 mins for an uncharacteristically rash challenge on Scott Robinson who went on to give the home side the lead minutes into the second half.

Chris Jullien got himself too emotionally involved with Livi striker Lyndon Dykes all afternoon and the big Aussie striker got the better of it sealing the deal with a stunning lob over Fraser Forster with 15 mins left to play.
A bad day at the office all round on Livingston’s pretty atrocious artificial pitch.
We’ve subsequently trounced them 4-0 at Celtic Park but that was on a grass surface.
They have also been in fine form since then losing only three of sixteen domestic matches and are unbeaten in their last eight home games with seven wins and an aggregate of 16 goals scored and only two conceded. Indeed they’ve only lost twice in 14 home league games all season.
And it’s that impressive form that has seen Gary Holt’s men climb to fifth in the league where they are only four points off third spot.
The big goal threats are the aforementioned Dykes and diminutive serial penalty scorer Steven Lawless who have eleven goals each this season.
They are well-drilled, tenacious and have momentum plus the self-confidence of knowing they have beaten us already this season.
Tonight is huge for Celtic.
For weeks now I’ve seen this game on the schedule drawing closer and it’s the one I like many others noted for it’s potential to be a real banana skin.

It’ll be our third visit to the former Almondvale Stadium since the new surface went in and we haven’t come close to winning on either occasion.
The first was a turgid 0-0 played out last term.
Don’t get me wrong. The surface is no excuse as we seem to have had no problems this season battering Killie and Hamilton Accies on their plastic pitches.
But Livi much more than those two really seem to know how to make it work to their advantage so we really need to be up for this as it’s highly unlikely that bottom side Hamilton are taking anything at Ibrox tomorrow night.
Yes, we’re twelve points clear with only ten games to go and have a mighty +20 goal advantage but let’s not give our opponents even the faintest chink of light.
If we did slip up then factor Rangers’ game in hand plus the fact we visit Ibrox in ten days and suddenly it’s game on again.
Why give them encouragement? Shut the door on their faintest of hopes and as the old song goes let’s keep ‘piling on the agony.’
I’ll give it the kiss of death and go for a 2-0 win to Celtic.
We owe Livi one and hopefully those chastening memories from earlier in the season spur the players on.
